The Night Stalker Foundation was founded in October 2009 as a 501c3.  Rated 4 Stars by Charity Navigator, the Night Stalker Foundation is committed to supporting 160th SOAR(A) Families and Unit Members through

UNIT HISTORY

The 160th was formed in response to our country’s need for a unique night-flying aviation rotary wing capability. After failing to rescue the hostages in Iran, the U.S. Army formed the 160th with the motto of “Never Again.”

From its inception in 1981, Night Stalkers have fought and bled in every combat action this nation has embarked upon. This relatively small unit has 104 names on its Memorial Wall, demonstrating the resolve of these brave men, women and Families.

We will ensure that the unit’s motto of “Night Stalkers Don’t Quit” continues as we care for those who serve this storied organization. Partner with us and enable these great Warriors and Families.

2026 Night Stalker Foundation Scholarship Applications are OPEN

The Night Stalker Foundation (NSF) is honored to continue our commitment to supporting the educational goals of Night Stalker families through the 2026 Night Stalker Scholarship Program. Each year, this program provides eligible applicants with meaningful financial assistance as they pursue higher education at accredited institutions.

The NSF awards scholarships without regard to race, color, gender, religion, national origin, age, physical ability, sexual orientation, rank, or sponsor’s position. Our mission is to support all Night Stalker families with fairness, integrity, and dedication.

Honoring Our Fallen Night Stalkers, In 2018, the NSF partnered with the Families of the Fallen to begin naming scholarships in memory of Night Stalkers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. These Memorial Named Scholarships ensure that the legacy of each fallen hero lives on through educational opportunities granted to future generations.

The names of the scholarships are selected at random, and this year, we are proud to award over 70 scholarships named in honor of our fallen Night Stalkers. Our long-term goal is for every fallen Night Stalker to have a scholarship named in their honor in perpetuity, preserving their legacy and service for generations to come.

Recognition at the Families of the Fallen Dinner, Recipients of these Memorial Named Scholarships will be honored during the annual Families of the Fallen Dinner, a cherished event that brings together families, supporters, and members of the Night Stalker community. This event occurs each year during WONSA and scholarship recipients invited to attend will receive a formal invitation in April.

Special Operations Fund Exeter Summer Program Scholarship

The Special Operations Fund (SOFund) in partnership with Phillips Exeter Academy is proud to announce the 2025 Exeter Summer Program Scholarship (Exeter Summer) in Exeter, New Hampshire, for children of active duty or retired service members of the special mission units supported by Special Operations Fund. 2025 Exeter Summer dates are from July 6 to August 6, 2026.

Family Collaborative

Education, Equipping and Connecting Night Stalker Families.

The Night Stalker Foundation’s SOAR Family Collaborative supports the soldiers and family members of 160th Special Operation Aviation Regiment. We coordinate programs that promote overall well being and enhance the SOF family experience. Out ultimate vision is to identify the specific needs of Night Stalker families, build bridges to available resources, and provide opportunities using promotive tools.
